Definitely not disappointed

First of all I was wanting a adult sized scooter and that's definitely what I got. The stated top speed of 52mph is not correct, lol... We can consistently break 60mph on flat ground and it's surprisingly stable at high speeds. Off road the suspension does amazing even with my 260lbs on it. The only downsides I can find if I'm being super picky is the blue is much lighter than the pictures, you can not set a color on the rgb lights under it and I wish there was a upgrade for the display, it works perfectly fine but looks kinda basic ( definitely not anything else basic on this ride so it stands out)

A great choice for so much fun.

Ok, I’ve been emailed, quite a few times, to review my RS7 purchase. I was unable, at least to do a fair review, since I am a fair weather rider and it has been wet and cold. I’m now down on Galveston Island for a few months and have spent a bit of time, running the Gulf shore, on the beast. I have about 70 miles on the scooter.

I ordered the RS7 after doing a bit of on and off research over the last few years. I own a couple of very nice bicycles and like to ride, and really didn’t want an e bike. I looked at a number of scooters. My want list included power to ride the beaches of the coast; riding simple trails of Colorado and the Dakota’s and just riding the area around our lakeside cabin. Power and speed, kind of, go together, but I wanted power and not necessarily speed. I wanted to ride for several hours without worrying about the battery level. Customer support was of utmost importance, (no Amazon purchase here), especially when ordering an expensive item manufactured in China.

I watched YouTube videos, read reviews and settled on the RS7. The LS7 was only $500 more, and was considered, however I liked the CNC machining and the steering tiller on the RS7 vs the LS7. The horizontal supports on the tiller will allow you to mount all kinds of accessories without attaching them to your handlebars. The LS7 didn’t have any significant increases in speed or range.

I ordered the scooter on 12/22 and received it on 12/29/21; in 7 days, over a holiday, weekend and bad weather, which I found amazing. It came packed and well cushioned in a heavy box with no damage. Assembly amounted to attaching the handlebars and rear fender. After checking the screws, bolts, brakes and P settings, the RS7 was ready to ride in less than 10 minutes. It had about an 80% charge in the battery.

The RS7 is big. The large platform allows for plenty of room to position your feet comfortably. It is heavy and not a scooter you will probably want to “throw” in out of your car on a regular basis. The weight, great suspension and 11 inch tires makes the RS7 stable with a comfortable ride. On line info indicated that the scooter was equipped with “on-road” tires; it came with off road tires. I wanted of road, so great for me, however buyer beware. There is no documentation included with the scooter. There is plenty of info available online and from Road Runner customer support.

The scooter is very responsive and fast. I usually ride in the mid speed and power settings and that takes me up to 30 mph. The higher settings are great for “getting there”, but it just doesn’t make sense to me to ride 50+mph standing on a scooter. Crash test dummies excluded.

I purchased the seat. I found, initially, the seat aided the learning curve in controlling the scooter. I was only able to use the seat for about 20 miles. The bottom of the vertical support bracket was poorly welded to the base plate causing the seat support and pedestal to bend forward. I only weigh 190 lbs; my weight should not have been a problem. I called Road Runner Scooters customer support, sent them pictures of the problem and they sent me a new seat the next day. It was a great example of their outstanding customer service.

I am very satisfied with Road Runner Scooters and the RS7. It is more than capable of aiding in the delinquency of the rider. “Ride safe or stay home.” NK

This scooter is the ultimate beast!!

I love my RS7!! I use it for commuting, as I am sick of these ever increasing gas prices!! Electric is most definitely the way to go! While on the street, be prepared to smoke some of the hybrid and electric cars on the road!! You will definitely feel the wind in your hair in this behemoth!! I am ordering another for my brother's birthday because he will not stop using my. Definitely worth the money!! And the competitor's cannot hold a candle to the prices that RoadRunner Scooters offers!! A+++
