I love this scooter. So awsome. My ride is a 16 mile ride. I spend roughly 30 a week in gas. And with this scooter I average 37 mph. The cruise control will take over. And I don't even use half the battery. I'm only 122 lb and I hav Le had this scooter up to 54 mph on flat ground. The steering damper is a must have with this scooter. I would love to see this scooter with the rs7 lighting. And maybe front turn signal would b nice. But over all this scooter gets a 10 startl in my book.

We bought 2 RS5 Max scooters specifically to get around Key West while on vacation. I’m 55 and my wife is 44 and we feel like kids again. These scooters are fast and very sturdy. Scooters will go 50 mph but we are around the 20-25 range. We get about 50 miles to a charge. We come to Key West every year and getting too old to walk everywhere and this is the next best thing. We can get around the whole island in 15-20 minutes. At home in Texas we use them to go get the mail and the wife and I do it together because it is so much fun. If you are looking for a Fantastic Electric Scooter, this is indeed fantastic. It's speed and power can be addictive. For me though, mode 3 is a little scary. I mostly use mode 2. But it is amazing to put it in mode 3 and be able to keep up just fine with traffic on 40 mph roads! Even if people are doing over 40. It has a great feeling ride to it that puts you in precision control, once you learn to roll your thumb down on the throttle from the housing above it. It has a great range for me, of around 33 miles the way I drive it. Which so far, is not lightly! I could probably get a few more miles if I were more subdued on the acceleration. But the amazing acceleration is what makes it so fun! The brakes are very powerful. Be careful with that front brake, so that you don't go for a tumble over the front of the scooter.
The only complaint I have so far is that one of the allen wrenches that comes with the included multi-tool did not work to tighten down the throttle housing screw. I wanted to adjust the position of the throttle vertically a bit. When I went to tighten it down, the allen wrench that fits that particular screw would go into the screw just fine and appear to be turning it ok, but the screw would not tighten down for some reason. I went and got my iFixIt tool kit and the bit it has worked great to get it to tighten down. Other than that, I love the experience the scooter delivers... it's astonishing/amazing! Wishlist: Optional Seat or Basket attachment.
