RoadGuard Extended Warranty Terms

RoadRunner Scooters offers an extended warranty program called RoadGuard. This program provides additional coverage for 1 or 2 years beyond the standard 1-year limited manufacturer’s warranty.

RoadGuard is owned and operated by RoadRunner Scooters LLC and is not a separate entity.

RoadGuard Coverage

  • 1-Year Extended Warranty: Adds 1 year to the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
  • 2-Year Extended Warranty: Adds 2 years to the standard manufacturer’s warranty.

Filing a Claim

To file a claim under the RoadGuard program, contact RoadRunner Scooters at support@roadrunnerscooters.com.

Photos and/or video of the issue must be provided with the claim.

Coverage Details

Eligibility

  • The RoadGuard Extended Warranty must be purchased within 60 days of the original product purchase date.
  • Coverage applies only to new RoadRunner Scooters products purchased directly from RoadRunner Scooters or authorized resellers.

Coverage Scope

  • The extended warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service.
  • It does not cover damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, improper maintenance, or unauthorized modifications.

Exclusions

  • Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to tires, brake pads, and grips.
  • Damage resulting from accidents, neglect, or improper use.
  • Products that have been modified without RoadRunner Scooters’ authorization.
  • Cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, and broken plastic parts, unless failure occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship.

Claim Process

  • Contact RoadRunner Scooters at support@roadrunnerscooters.com.
  • Provide proof of purchase and details of the issue.
  • Provide any required photos, video, or additional documentation requested by customer support.

Claims must be made within the warranty period. Claims made after the expiration of the extended warranty period will not be honored.

Repair or Replacement

If a product covered by the RoadGuard Extended Warranty is found to be defective, RoadRunner Scooters will, at its discretion, repair or replace the product with a new or refurbished product of equal or greater value.

The repaired or replaced product will continue to be covered under the original extended warranty period.

Transferability

The RoadGuard Extended Warranty is not transferable to a new owner if the product is sold.

Cancellation and Refunds

The RoadGuard Extended Warranty can be canceled within 30 days of receipt for a full refund, provided no claims have been made. After 30 days, the extended warranty is non-refundable.

General Provisions

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado.

Modification of Terms

RoadRunner Scooters reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on the RoadRunner Scooters website.

Severability

If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

RoadRunner Accident Protection Plan — Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: March 26, 2026


1. Plan Overview

The RoadRunner Accident Protection Plan (“Plan”) is an optional service contract that provides coverage for accidental damage and certain wear-related failures not included under the standard manufacturer warranty.

This Plan is administered by RoadRunner Scooters.

This is not an insurance policy.
This Plan is a limited-use service agreement subject to the terms outlined below.


2. Eligibility & Terms

  • Available for eligible scooters purchased directly from RoadRunner Scooters or an authorized dealer
  • Coverage begins on the original scooter purchase date
  • Available terms: 1-year, 2-year, or 3-year plans
  • Non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser and scooter

3. Coverage Scope

The Plan covers accidental damage and qualifying wear that affects the performance, functionality, or safe operation of the scooter.

Covered Events Include:

  • Accidental damage from drops, crashes, or impacts
  • Functional wear from normal use
  • Water exposure consistent with real-world riding conditions, including rain, puddles, and road spray

Not covered: submersion, flooding, pressure washing, or prolonged water exposure

3-Year Plan Additional Benefits:

  • Tire replacement eligibility as outlined in Section 5

4. Claims, Limits & Deductibles

  • Each approved claim requires payment of the applicable deductible
  • Deductibles must be paid prior to repair authorization or parts fulfillment
  • Claims are processed per incident and may not be combined

Deductibles and coverage terms are fixed based on the Protection Plan selected at the time of purchase.


5. Tire Replacement Benefit (3-Year Plans Only)

Customers enrolled in the 3-Year Protection Plan are eligible for up to two tire replacement redemptions during the coverage period.

Redemption Schedule:

  • One complete set of replacement tires after 12 months
  • One complete set of replacement tires after 24 months

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Tire replacements are only available if no claims have been made during the preceding 12-month period
  • If a claim is filed within that period, the tire benefit for that interval is forfeited

Customer Costs & Limits:

  • $15 shipping fee per tire set
  • $49 deductible per redemption
  • Limit of one tire redemption per eligible period
  • Tire replacements do not count toward the Plan’s claim limit

6. Exclusions (What Is Not Covered)

This Plan does not cover:

  • Manufacturer defects (covered under standard or extended warranty)
  • Battery degradation due to age, use, or charge cycles
  • Theft, loss, vandalism, or fire
  • Intentional damage or misuse
  • Full or partial water submersion or prolonged exposure
  • Cosmetic damage, including scratches, dents, or fading
  • Routine maintenance (brake pads, tire installation, adjustments)
  • Unauthorized modifications or third-party repairs
  • Labor costs (diagnostics, disassembly, repairs)
  • Shipping costs to or from RoadRunner or service centers
  • Full scooter replacement

Cosmetic Damage Clarification:

Superficial damage such as scratches, scuffs, or fading is not eligible for coverage under any circumstance.


7. Customer Responsibilities

To submit a claim, the customer must:

  • Provide valid proof of purchase
  • Submit clear photos and/or videos of the issue
  • Provide a written description of the incident
  • Pay the applicable deductible if the claim is approved
  • Cover all required shipping and labor costs

RoadRunner reserves the right to deny any claim that falls outside the scope of coverage or lacks sufficient documentation.


8. RoadRunner Rights & Limitations

  • Repairs may be completed using new, refurbished, or functionally equivalent parts
  • RoadRunner determines whether repair or part replacement is appropriate
  • All claims and coverage determinations are final

The Plan may be voided if the scooter:

  • Is modified or altered
  • Is serviced by unauthorized third parties
  • Is used outside intended operating conditions

9. Cancelation & Refund Policy

  • Full refund available within 30 days of purchase, provided no claims have been filed
  • After 30 days—or once a claim is submitted—the Plan is non-refundable
