Real Coverage. Real Support.
We design our scooters in Denver, Colorado, USA, maintain a domestic parts inventory, and support our customers long after delivery. RoadRunner scooters are built to be resilient, serviceable, and supported for the long term.
If you need to make a voluntary return, please review our Returns & Exchanges Policy. Warranty claims and voluntary returns are handled under different terms.
Warranty Periods
- New scooters: 12-month Limited Manufacturer Warranty beginning on the date of delivery.
- Certified Refurbished scooters: 3-month Limited Manufacturer Warranty beginning on the date of delivery.
- Orders delivered outside the Lower 48 United States: 6-month Limited Manufacturer Warranty beginning on the date of delivery. Shipping costs related to warranty claims for these orders are the responsibility of the customer. Nothing in this section eliminates a non-waivable consumer right under the law of the place of purchase or delivery.
This warranty is provided to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Non-transferability does not erase rights that applicable law grants to a later owner.
What Is Covered
This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use.
A manufacturing defect is a failure caused by how a covered component was manufactured or assembled. It does not include a condition caused by wear, misuse, improper installation, inadequate maintenance, environmental exposure, collision, or other external damage.
Covered components include:
- Frame and structural components, including suspension mounting structures
- Motors
- Controllers, including speed controllers
- Battery (performance and function)
- Display, throttle, wiring, charger, and other electronic components
A component that is part of the scooter as delivered and fails because of a manufacturing defect is evaluated under these categories.
Consumables and Normal Wear
Ordinary wear of brake pads, tires, tubes, fasteners, and similar consumable components is not covered, and this warranty is not a promise of normal-wear replacement.
A verified manufacturing defect that existed at delivery is not excluded merely because the component is normally consumable.
Exclusions and Causation
This warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by accidents, collision, fire, water intrusion or immersion, extreme environmental exposure, overloading, misuse, commercial or rental use, improper assembly or setup, inadequate maintenance, battery neglect, altered wiring, improper repairs, incompatible or aftermarket parts, unauthorized alterations, continued operation after a known fault, or cosmetic conditions that do not affect function.
Coverage may be denied only to the extent RoadRunner reasonably determines that the claimed failure was caused or materially contributed to by the modification, incompatible part, unauthorized alteration, improper repair, misuse, inadequate maintenance, or other excluded condition. Unrelated covered defects remain eligible.
Your Legal Rights
This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary by state or jurisdiction. Nothing in this Limited Warranty excludes or limits a right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
How to Start a Warranty Claim
Submit a support request here: Contact Support or email support@roadrunnerscooters.com.
Please include:
- Order number
- Description of the issue
- Photos and/or video
Providing complete information will help expedite diagnosis and resolution.
Each claim is evaluated on the product's identity, the warranty version applicable to the purchase, the applicable warranty period, the evidence provided, diagnosis, causation, any prior remedy for the same condition, and duplicate recovery. A claim is not denied automatically because of the number of prior claims, the number of replacement parts provided, or a prior claim involving the same component. RoadRunner may deny duplicate recovery for the same unresolved condition, deny claims supported by fraud, and decline to remedy a condition that has already been fully remedied.
How Warranty Support Works
Each request begins with a diagnostic review. RoadRunner may select a reasonable remedy based on safety, feasibility, availability, compatibility, cost, and prior repair attempts, in this general order:
- Remote diagnosis and guided troubleshooting
- Replacement part
- Authorized repair
- Return for service
- Replacement scooter, when a significant covered defect cannot reasonably be corrected
A cash refund is not the ordinary warranty remedy. Nothing in this warranty limits a separate statutory remedy that cannot lawfully be limited.
Cost Responsibility
First 30 Days
For a verified manufacturing defect identified within thirty days after delivery, RoadRunner covers the approved replacement parts and associated shipping required for the approved warranty remedy.
After 30 Days
RoadRunner supplies approved warranty parts and support for a covered defect during the applicable warranty term. The customer is responsible for warranty-service shipping after the initial thirty days, except where applicable law requires otherwise or RoadRunner agrees otherwise in writing.
Labor
- Remote support and RoadRunner's diagnostic review are included.
- Customer-performed installation labor is not separately reimbursed.
- Third-party labor is not covered unless RoadRunner approves it in writing before the work is performed.
- When RoadRunner requires an in-house repair as the approved warranty remedy, RoadRunner will disclose responsibility for labor and shipping before the customer ships the scooter.
Packaging for Return Service
Return authorization is required prior to shipment.
A full scooter returned by carrier must be packed in the original shipping container or another shipping container approved by RoadRunner. The customer is responsible for damage caused by inadequate or unapproved packaging.
If an approved replacement container is needed, it may be purchased from RoadRunner at the then-current price disclosed before shipment.
Transit Loss, Theft, and Transit Damage
Loss, theft, and damage occurring while a shipment is in transit are not manufacturer-warranty matters. Manufacturing defects and transit damage are evaluated under different terms. Optional RoadRunner Protected Delivery, when purchased, is governed by the RoadRunner Protected Delivery Terms.
Parts and Turnaround Time
We maintain U.S.-based parts inventory to reduce downtime and avoid international delays. Most issues are resolved without a full scooter return.
RoadRunner will acknowledge and review complete warranty requests within a reasonable period. Response and resolution times vary based on diagnosis, evidence, parts availability, shipping, and service volume.
Out-of-Warranty Assistance
RoadRunner may offer out-of-warranty parts or service assistance at its discretion. Any quoted discount or assistance applies only to that specific offer and does not extend the warranty.
Built to Be Serviceable
RoadRunner scooters are designed to be maintained and repaired rather than replaced, with replaceable components, upgradeable systems, and long-term ownership support.
Warranty Version
The warranty version in effect when the covered product was purchased governs that purchase. Later changes will not reduce coverage already provided.
